Beading Area

Denise from the Bead Journal Project 08 suggested that we show our beading areas. So today, I took a picture of my bead tray - it's really big! No, not really, it's actually a travel size diaper wipe container that I put a matt in. It's great because I take it with me wherever I go. It fits into my purse until I switched to my small winter one, today. I bead while my son goes to TaeKwonDo. I used to just drop him off and come home but with the price of gas I now go and stay so I bead. I can bead in the car with this, too. Most of the time I bead in a recliner with my feet up. I get comfy! What's everyone else using?

Now that is a very cool idea! I hadn't seen that one before! I might just have to copy that idea. Thanks for playing!!

Ha a very neat beading tray LOL I have one of those somewhere around here in my messy 'play room' to use as a travelling beading tray, now I need to search it out...

You are obscenely organized. And how do you keep from losing beads in the car? Yes, you read jealousy in my voice.
I have a beloved 'PigPen': an 8x11FT room dedicated to me as an office/studio. I close up my laptop and push it under the desk and the top of the desk is supposed to be for beading. There's no room of course because that's where most of my findings and tools can be found.
You left a kind message on my entry to andmorebjp08 about the Bead Oasis Show. I had an em from Robin suggesting it was inappropriate to put on that blog: it should have been limited to my Glass0Beads.blogspot (#0, not letter O). I've removed that entry but wanted to thank you for your comments.
My class is on Thursday, set up day, so I'll be back on Saturday for the vendors' mall and seminars. I know I'll be down for several days after that but I'll be posting updates on my blog.
Again thanks for your comments.

Wow what a great page you did for this month! I too will be turning 50 on my next birthday and have much the same thoughts running around in my head. It is a time of transition. Well done my dear! Also, LOVE the idea you have for a traveling bead tray! I have a new granddaughter. Might have to sipe a wipe container and give it a go!

Hi Heidi. I saw your question on my blog about the dragonfly pin. They take me about 2 1/2-3 hours usually. they are done in 2 drop peyote so they go a lot quicker. If you need any help, let me know! it is my own pattern, but I am willing to share. Tracey

What am I using? Styrofoam meat trays! I've been stacking them up but they are not a good thing to use really as the cat tips them over and beads go flying too easily. Your tray is nice as it can close for safety, is shallow for a good surface and it can travel too. Good idea.

Hey Heidi!
I am waiting for your address so I can send you beads! I picked your name. I have comment moderation enabled so you can send me your address on the comment form and it will not go onto the blog.
Thanks for playing, Denise

Hi Heidi! Thanks for posting to my blog! I will be doing all of the sabbats for the 08 BJP, as well as the elements for the four months that do not have a sabbat in them :) love the round format and mirror you've done for your september page, and great job on the book for last year's pages!

P.S. I, too, use a vintage spoon for scooping!
