September Bead Journal Project

I just finished my September BJP "page". I have decided on circles for a shape and began this month with a mirror. I am in transition and the mirror symbolizes reflection. While I was beading, I thought about turning 50 this month on the 24th (how appropriate to start a new year beading). What am I going to do for the future, career wise? How can I improve my health? How can I spend my time better? What do I really want? I guess that's what this year will be about. This was a freeing piece - totally impovised except for the mirror.

Oh this is gorgeous! I wish I could do a totally encrusted piece but for now I'll just have to look at everyone else's. :)

Beautiful start to the new year. Its weird how certain birthdays have a significance of their own isn't it? I remember last year for my 50th Birthday I also made a page not only to look back but look toward to many many details the future holds.

Just looked at your previous posts and saw your journal book, it looks great, you need to add a few pictures of it to your page on the Website.

Absolutely Beautiful!! I love it. My grandson is 13 and lived with us most of his life until the end of this summer when he moved to his mom's house. At 57, his leaving is what got me to thinking about new directions. I have more time for me now with less housework, cooking and laundry..yeah! Amazing how creative my mind has become.

Thanks for the kind comments, ladies. The circle is about 4 inches in diameter.

Carol, enjoy your free time and put your creativity first now, right after you rest!

Really pretty piece. A mirror is a good symbol for turning 50. The person I see in my mirror is not who I feel I am.

I love all your colors and you did so nice on workmanship with all those beads combining to form a design.

Happy almost there birthday. Hope it's a great day for you and a great year too.

Hi Heidi...I'm finally catching up on BJP members blogs today!

Your September page turned out just beautiful and the mirror symbolizing reflection is just perfect, especially turning 50 this month! Happy Belated Birthday! I can totally relate to reflecting on our life (past and future) on our birthday! Even though I do each year, when I turned 50 this last May, it really seemed to be a big one! ~wink~

I look forwarding to seeing your monthly pages!

Have a nice weekend...~Lisa ;-)
