This is the beginning of my July page. I went on a bead hunt at Beads East a couple weeks ago. I was looking for beads to jump out at me and these did. The picture doesn't do the colors justice. At first I was going to add orange to it but when I sat down to work on it again, it wouldn't allow me to add them. My mind kept saying no, don't ruin it. Wonder why it said to get the orange beads in the first place? I bet I'll use them somewhere else.

forse perchè l'arancione ti piace particolarmente?
la tua pagina di giugno era una festa di colori caldi...
ciao matilda
I wonder what you've added since you posted this picture? What you describe happens to me so often.. I get a part finished, and it looks so great to me that I'm afraid of messing it up by adding something else. It becomes a block. My solution is always the same. I pick up a bead or doodad that I love and sew it on somewhere, which ends the block and gets me going again. If I loved those orange beads, I'd be putting them on there right now!
Did you fix the bigger beads with glue?

Heidi,
I love what you've started :o) The colors are flowing and of course I love green. I'm trying to finish up my June page so you are inspiring me forward :o) Lillian
Tally, no I didn't glue the larger beads on, they actually have hole in them. The weird shape beads where in the pearl section. I couldn't resist the oddity.
Actually, Robin, I wasn't crazy about the orange beads after I had sewn these on. I'm using, yep you guessed it - Sequins. Right now. I might still add some just cuz.
What a great start! I look forward to watching it grow.
This is a real change from your first page. Can't wait to see where you go with it. Sequins? I'll check back! I want to see how you use them.
I really like what your doing here. I look forward to seeing where you go from here, it reminds me of a path.

Love, love, love those green beads!

I can't wait to see what the sequins look like. This is so beautiful already.
I find myself in that same place of having the idea and beads and then deciding they just don't flow with the piece anymore. I wonder though if maybe you were influenced by the friend that didn't think they went together. I find myself vulnerable to that sometimes. Maybe you just need to try the orange, something brought them to your attention.
Love your start! Great beads, motifs and flowing lines!
Great beads to start with - love the colors. Am looking forward to seeing where you take this...
